We mentioned recently that we’re releasing a Christmas album this year, and we’re now very excited to be in a position where we can give you some more information about it.
First up, we’re honoured to tell you 100% of the album’s proceeds will be donated to Smile For Life, a wonderful North East charity which is dedicated to enhancing and enriching the lives of children.
As previously mentioned on Twitter and Tumblr, the record will be called ‘Silent Night, Tiny Lights’. It’s going to be released on Monday, November 26th, and will feature a host of new Christmas songs and a few old festive classics. There’s a host of awesome contributors to the album, including Playlounge, Fawn Spots, The Union Choir, Tissue Culture, The Railway Club, John Egdell, The Lake Poets, Natasha Haws and many more. Special thanks are due to David Burn and Newcastle Music Box Studios where the bulk of the songs are being recorded.
We’re going to be celebrating the release with an all day gig at The Cluny. Nothing Like Christmas 2 will feature Gum, Collider, Tissue Culture, Fawn Spots and a lot more to be announced soon. Proceeds from that show will also go to Smile For Life.
